What is Indian Army Soldier GD (General Duty) Recruitment Process

The recruitment includes a Physical Fitness Test, Medical Examination and a Common Entrance Exam (CEE). The CEE covers General Knowledge, General Science and Mathematics at the 10th-grade level. This process selects medically fit and physically strong candidates for General Duty roles in the Indian Army.

Common Entrance Examination (CEE)

  • Subjects: General Knowledge, General Science, Mathematics (10th level), and Logical Reasoning.
  • Question Type: Objective type (multiple choice).
  • Total Questions: 50 questions.
  • Marks per Question: 2 marks.
  • Total Marks: 100.
  • Passing Marks: 35.
  • Negative Marking: 0.5 marks for each wrong answer.
  • Time Duration: 1 hour.
  • NCC 'C' Certificate Exemption: Candidates with NCC 'C' Certificate are exempted from the CEE.

Physical Fitness Test

The Army Physical Fitness Test includes a 1.6 km run, pull-ups and agility tasks to assess endurance and strength. Candidates also undergo a Physical Measurement Test, Adaptability Test and Medical Examination. Selection Process

  • Stage 1: Physical Fitness Test and Physical Measurement Test.
  • Stage 2: Medical Examination.

Eligibility

To apply for Indian Army AGNIVEER (GD) recruitment, candidates must be unmarried males aged 17.5 to 21 years. Applicants should have passed Class 10th (Matric) with a minimum of 45% overall and 33% in each subject. They must meet the prescribed Indian Army physical standards, be medically fit and mentally sound to qualify.

Our Six - month Army Bharti coaching program is divided into two key parts: physical fitness training and written exam preparation. The focus is primarily on physical training, as clearing the physical test is essential for qualifying for the written exam. This program is ideal for students preparing for AGNIVEER (GD) and other Indian Army recruitment categories.

Career Opportunuties

The AGNIVEER exam under the AGNIVEER scheme offers a unique chance for young individuals to serve in the Indian Army on a 4-year tenure. After completion, up to 25% of Agniveers may be selected for permanent recruitment in the Indian Armed Forces, opening long-term career opportunities in Defence services.
